Meet Ronelle: Renaissance Village Rancho Belago Cook

Ronelle Robinson is one of the talented cooks that works in the kitchen at Renaissance Village Rancho Belago. She’s hard working, reliable, creative and an over all, asset to the team.

Ronelle also holds her Associate of Science in Baking & Pastry from the Art Institute. Her interest in cooking began at a young age, and she did a lot of the cooking growing up.

She has two boys, Taaj and Kamron, and one girl, Tajanna. Consequently, raising three children gave her plenty of practice preparing meals for her family.

Ronelle has lots of experience inside and out the kitchen. She served in the Army for two years as a Private Second Class. She also held positions as a Light Vehicle Mechanic and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). After that, she also cooked and baked for group homes for boys, which also provided her with a great deal of experience. Ronelle also has a big heart. She views food as the way to a person’s heart and soul, and enjoys making people feel good with the food she creates.

Ronelle loves everything about working at Renaissance Village Rancho Belago. The kitchen offers more of a fun and laidback atmosphere in comparison to the fast pace environment of her previous kitchen at ProAbition. Most of all, she enjoys coming out to the Dining Room after each meal to talk with the residents. This allows her to get to know their likes and dislikes. Ronelle has a strong sense of respect for residents. Moreover, she understands the importance of listening and connecting with them.

When Ronelle is not working, she enjoys playing softball. During the week, she also plays in a softball league and on the weekends, she plays in tournaments. In addition, Ronelle owns her own baking business, Ladybug’s Delectable Treats & Catering. She specializes in cakes, pastries, and Creole and Cajun food.
