Can Food Boost Our Brain Power?

Brain Power Boosted by Food

It has often been said that “you are what you eat.” Given this time of New Year’s resolutions and the focus on starting anew, how does the food we eat affect our brain health

Studies show that healthy eating lowers your risk of diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. There are foods that are rich in anti-inflammatory antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals, that contribute to overall health and possibly boost our brain power. People who eat plenty of vegetables and fruits a day perform better on cognitive tests, while those who eat a lot of sugar are more likely to develop mild cognitive impairment than those who do not.

  • Turmeric
  • Wild Alaska Salmon
  • Broccoli & Cauliflower
  • Walnuts
  • Celery
  • Coconut oil
  • Blueberries
